Before commencing any form of exercise it is essential to discuss and establish with your trainer exactly what your goals are, after all, you need to know where you're going in order to get there! Your trainer will ask you about your exercise experience, likes, dislikes and lifestyle and then carry out relevant tests to assess your current state of health and level of fitness. This will provide your trainer with the information required to prescribe a personalised progressive programme suitable for your individual needs. These initial health and fitness tests may also be used to interpret improvement once you have been training regularly. Good nutrition is an integral part of any health and fitness programme and therefore we offer nutritional advice and guidance as part of our service at no extra charge. If you feel that this would be of assistance to you, you will be asked to keep a food diary for a week. Appropriate recommendations may then be made by your trainer with a view to complementing your training sessions to gain the maximum benefits from your efforts.
