If your chosen residential space does not meet such standards, you might want to revamp its ceiling to increase the height. If this is not possible, then you most likely need a renovation.
Ventilation. Pick a chamber that has adequate ventilation, especially if you are thinking of engaging in cardio sessions. In case the only vacant space in your dwelling is an area that does not have any windows, then you should consider creating new ones by knocking down some walls.
Isolation. Unless you are living alone, you might want to implement measures to ensure that your workouts do not disturb other household members. One way to do so would be to soundproof the entire area. Installing paddings on the surfaces may also help decrease the noise of clanging metals when you use free weights.
