REPs stands for the Register of Exercise Professionals. A trainer who is member of REPs to level 3 possesses the highest industry recognition of competence in the field of fitness instructing/personal training currently available.
» What equipment do I need to have to begin training?
You do not have to have or buy any equipment in preparation for beginning a personal training programme. The benefit of home personal training is that the equipment is bought to your home by the instructor. There are no hidden costs! The equipment used will be appropriate to your needs and can include free weights, resistance bands, tubing, skipping rope, steps, stability/bosu ball, Boxercise equipment and much more.
» Do I have to have a certain level of fitness before I begin training?
Personal training is for people of all fitness levels. It is not a prerequisite to be of a particular level of fitness; after all it is the trainer's job to help you reach your desired level of fitness.
» Do I need lots of space within my house to train in?
The equipment provided by the trainer is suited for home use, therefore huge amounts of space are not essential. Training will not necessarily be confined to a room, back gardens and parks can also be made use of.
» I have my own equipment, can we use that?
The trainer will assess what is available to ensure it is safe, effective, and of good quality and make a decision accordingly.
» What is Boxercise/Boxercise Kick?
Boxercise/Boxercise Kick is not designed to teach the sport of boxing and/or kickboxing, neither is it a form of self-defence. However they follow the techniques used in boxing and kickboxing as closely as possible, with the focus on active contact without physical contact. It provides cardiovascular exercise benefit to the client in an alternative and enjoyable way and can help to improve coordination and power. |
